One of the most important things for a book's success is reviews. Metaphysical authors should not overlook the power of a review. Here's why:
A book with many reviews does better in the algorithms of sites like Amazon. This means more people will see your book pop up as a recommendation.
Reviews let prospective buyers determine if this is a book they want. Many people depend on other people's opinions before they make a purchase, and an honest critique will help them decide.
The sad truth is that if you enter any brick-and-mortar store, the metaphysical section is often tiny, even though witchy books are popular. The people who decide which titles to stock need a nudge. A well-reviewed book tells these stores that people want to see these books on the shelves. (Of course, you can call these shops, too.)
