It’s Thanksgiving here in the States. Frankly, I don’t celebrate this day for many reasons. I do, however, cook a turkey with all the trimmings. Why do that when I’m not in the mood to rejoice around a problematic holiday? Because I want to eat the meal, despite the issues this day brings. Curmudgeon? Yes.
I think a lot of authors feel this way when it comes to marketing books around the holidays. We’re introverted and prefer the solitude of writing to selling. But here we are. Black Friday sales are popping up, and the busiest shopping time of the year will soon be happening. So, we really can’t sit this out…or can we?
