The world is a raggedy mess right now. Truth is, it’s always been complicated because humans are humans, and they are capable of horrific things. If you’re the sensitive type, which I am guessing you are because most writers tend to be, it may be hard to function when everything seems to be crumbling all at once. Opting out is tempting, but it’s not an option when you’re a writer. You’ve got work to do.
There are books that need to be written. A writer's work doesn’t end once the manuscript is sent to the publisher. So you also have marketing to do if you want those books to sell.
But a question that lingers in the back of many minds during troubled times. Is there ever a time when it might be inappropriate to market our books?
