How to hit the road safely and smartly.
When my first book was published, I organized an extensive tour to promote it. I had a lot of fun; it was a great way to spread the word. Since then, I’ve done tours for almost every book until Covid came along.
Once the pandemic was in full swing, I still needed to get the word out. Thankfully, the internet saved the day. It was easy to host online events, and they helped boost sales. But although Covid is still running rampant, folks are less interested in online anything these days. Now that policies have lapsed, people want the in-person experience again. Sitting in front of the computer is no longer a thrill. Intimacy is in.
Last year, I did a mini tour for Twist Your Fate: Manifest Success with Astrology and Tarot. It was a great success. I was happy to meet fans and sign books - and they seemed excited to connect with me, too. I’m about to head out for another short stint next month for my next book, and although I’m still nervous about Covid, I know it is a smart way to promote.
